Movement Efficiency

15.3 has officially turned some heads and shaken things up! This year Open WOD looks very similar to previous year’s Open WOD with one minor glitch: MUSCLE-UPS COME FIRST!

By leading off the WOD, the muscle-up is sure to shake things up on the leaderboard. As the saying goes: “Separate the men from the boys!”  🙂

Tonight we had the opportunity to sit down with JD Alex of Tusk Fitness. JD is an up-and-coming CrossFit athlete and coach within the NorthCentral Region.

In order to move effectively and efficiently throughout 15.3 we’ve targeted four regions:

– Shoulder (Internal Rotation)

– Hips (Flexion with abduction)

– Thoracic Spine (Extension)

– Posterior Lower Leg (Gastroc, soleus, and achilles tendon)
