Dr. Jon Roed is a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic who graduated from Northwestern Health Sciences University–College of Chiropractic in Minneapolis, MN. He attended the University of Iowa and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. Dr. Jon enjoys using his strength and conditioning background to treat athletes of all types. He works with several area high school and collegiate athletes including NCAA Div I football athletes and Olympic trial competitors. He loves spending time with his family, his wife Katie, daughter Avery and son Gavin. In his free time, Dr. Jon enjoys CrossFit workouts and volunteering or competing in local CrossFit events.
Dr. Brooks Newton is a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic from Northwestern Health Sciences University–College of Chiropractic. He was a former collegiate basketball player and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Southwest Minnesota State University. Dr. Brooks is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist(CSCS) and a registered Active Release Technique® (ART) provider. Additionally, Dr. Brooks has had the opportunity to work with numerous high level athletes from the ranks of the NFL, Crossfit Games, and the NCAA Div I, II, and III. Dr. Brooks also had the opportunity to treat professional athletes in China as a part of a U.S. sports medicine team.
Dr. Michael Henrichs is a recent graduate of Cleveland Chiropractic College and a native of Carlisle as well as a graduate of Upper Iowa where he played collegiate baseball. Dr. Michael is also an avid outdoorsman. His enjoys utilizing his exceptional clinical experiences from the Kansas City VA Medical Center where he worked directly with military veterans and other healthcare professionals (MDs, DPTs, Orthopeadic surgeons, etc) to return our nation’s heroes to a pain-free life, as well as using his experiences as a collegiate athlete to help those in pain to return to sport following an injury.
Jenni has been a member of the DSM Spine+Sport team since 2015. She lives in West Des Moines with her husband Jason and their Jack Russel terrier Lucy. In her free time she enjoys reading and teaching yoga at a local yoga studio.
Aspen has been with DSM Spine+Sport since 2017. She graduated from the University of Iowa with a bachelors degree in Health and Human Physiology with and minor in Exercise Science. Aspen enjoys spending time with her family and her golden retriever Georgia. Her other activities include working out at her local CrossFit gym and coaching softball.
