Pregnancy and Post-Natal Fitness with Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy

What you can expect to learn:

Prenatal:

In this course time will be spent educating on the following topics:

- What to expect in each trimester

- Understanding hormonal changes and their influence on the body

- Deep core work to reduce pelvic floor dysfunction and diastasis recti

- Positioning considerations throughout pregnancy as well as during labor

- Exercise modification to keep you active and strong during pregnancy

- Breathing, stretching and birthing positions for an active labor

Postpartum:

In this course you will learn about the following topics:

- Early interventions to begin right after birth

- Transfer and bracing techniques to safely protect your body and baby after birth

- Cesarean section care

- Pelvic hygiene and self care; intercourse safety

- Gradual return to sport/activity and exercise including pelvic floor and deep core to reduce diastasis recti

- Advanced return to sport/activity and exercise
